The contemporary art graphic that I chose is the google daily doodle from the The Flintstones’ 50th Anniversary in 2010. I’ve always loved seeing the daily doodles while going on the google main search page everyday, so naturally I started searching for the perfect doodle. The specific graphic I chose is google spelled out using imagery from The Flintstones tv show from the 1960’s. The classic style is eye capturing by itself, but even better is how well each letter is depicted by different components of the show. I especially love how the “G” is made up of the entire family on their famous car and how the second “g” is solely a snorkasaurus (the dinosaur). The entire design itself is a little chaotic, but each doodle is clear enough to recognize the letter they correspond to.
