Compositions I-IV use additive black paper on top of a white background with a black frame. The focus and elements are on horizontal and vertical lines, diagonal lines, curved lines, and a combination of all three line types.

Holy moly these are sick! I think your most successful are the 1st and the 4th. The staggered variation of line weight creates a really beautiful composition in both. I feel like your 2nd and 3rd solutions play off a similar concept but your 2nd one is more successful. I feel like you might have gotten stuck on the 3rd piece.
tip: you can cut a lot of different shapes and arrange a composition. OR you can also cut the same shape at different sizes (or line weights) and create a completely different composition.
