I really like your variation of shape. I also see a compositional pattern how 2 of your solutions are centered while the other 2 are on the side. I believe your combination one is the most successful because you have a wide variety of interesting shapes but they’re all connected. I would say try to diversify where you position your piece on the paper. It doesn’t have to be glued to one side or to the middle.
Charlotte – These have good economy and some intriguing elements and concepts. They are all a bit “singular” in themes and composition, so think about generating more compositional interest by considering the scale and where elements are placed. Also strive to create more of narrative (how multiple elements could interact to create relationships) and perhaps explore more of a spatial dynamic (rather than singular elements existing on one plane.) A good first effort!
